Our Team
Brandie Jackson
Brandie is the founder, CEO, and lead dog trainer of Pawsitive Pathways. With over 20 years of professional dog training experience, she also helps lead the local 4-H dog project and visits schools to teach children about dog behavior and training - mentoring the next generation of animal advocates. Brandie is deeply passionate about building strong, trusting relationships between people and their dogs—helping them overcome challenges and grow together.

Her greatest calling, however, lies in working with rescued, surrendered, stray, and shelter dogs in Colorado. She specializes in rehabilitation, helping each dog become the best version of themselves and preparing them for loving, lifelong homes. In addition to her work through Pawsitive Pathways, Brandie regularly supports local shelters, veterinarians, and animal welfare organizations through behavior consultations and staff training.

Brandie founded Pawsitive Pathways in April 2022, driven by a mission to assist underserved Colorado shelters and the dogs in their care. The organization became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in November 2023. Each successful adoption holds a special place in her heart and motivates her continued dedication. She feels especially grateful to share her life’s work with her supportive husband and two daughters, who play vital roles in the program’s daily success.

Lynn Gerber
Our Community Outreach Director, Lynn, has tremendous love and respect for dogs. She has always said that rescuing dogs is her calling, perhaps because she herself is a rescue in a sense. She was given up for adoption at birth and for years struggled with feelings of abandonment. After semi-retiring she helped form a nonprofit and educational group to support rescues and shelters, but when she and her friend closed that non-profit, Lynn continued on to work at the Capitol, lobbying and being involved in animal advocacy legislation as well as acting as a stakeholder with PACFA and BAP and most recently an advocate in Colorado Animal Welfare. In 2022, God brought her and Brandie Jackson together to form Pawsitive Pathways. Within Pawsitive Pathways she networks and advertises endlessly through social media, former business contacts, friends and family to find homes for dogs and to secure funding for their care. Lynn is also a creative small business owner and enjoys making jewelry and leather accessories, often giving a portion of her profits to the cause!

Baylee Bezona-Garbo, RVT
Baylee, our Assistant Director, is Brandie’s eldest daughter and a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician. In her role with Pawsitive Pathways, she oversees all aspects of veterinary care and manages contracts, protocols, the organization’s website, and marketing efforts. With over a decade of experience training and showing dogs in 4-H during her youth, Baylee now gives back as a judge for 4-H dog and cat projects throughout the state.

She is also passionate about community outreach—regularly volunteering at local low-cost vaccination clinics and educating the public on responsible pet ownership. As a lifelong animal advocate, Baylee is committed to making both pets and their people feel valued, supported, and understood.
At home, she shares her life with her animal-loving husband, Cody, and a lively household of pets including two dogs, a cat, a few geckos, some goats, chickens, and fish.

Bristal Jackson
Bristal, Brandie’s youngest daughter, is an essential part of the Pawsitive Pathways team. She devotes countless hours to caring for each dog in the program—providing meals, exercise, training, and plenty of love. Her dedication ensures that every dog receives the attention and care they need, and her support is truly indispensable.

Bristal is actively involved in 4-H, where she trains and shows dogs, and she also competes in rodeo events with her horses. Following closely in the footsteps of her mother and older sister, she has a natural bond with animals and a strong desire to help. Whether it’s intake, daily care, training, or transportation, Bristal is eager to be involved in every step of the process.

As she continues to grow her skills and experience, there’s no doubt Bristal will become an even more impactful force in the animal advocacy world.
